Temperature-Dependent Toxicokinetics of Phenanthrene in Enchytraeus albidus (Oligochaeta)

چکیده

Although the toxicokinetics of organic pollutants in soil invertebrates under optimal and constant temperature has been widely reported, their uptake, elimination, bioaccumulation suboptimal temperatures, especially daily fluctuating (FT) regimes have received only little research attention. In this study, phenanthrene (PHE) Enchytraeus albidus (Oligochaeta) different an FT regime were investigated a natural soil. general, PHE concentrations worm tissues reached steady state within 14 days at temperatures. The uptake (ku) elimination (ke) rate constants increased with increasing likely because diffusivity into worms metabolic rate. Interestingly, factor E. showed positive relationship slope ku-temperature was larger than that ke-temperature relationship. Further, average temperature. These findings suggest that, climatic conditions, should be considered for assessment terrestrial organisms.

Mathematical Modeling of the Temperature-Dependent Growth of Living Systems

In this investigation a non-equilibrium thermodynamic model of the temperature dependent biological growth of a living systems has been analyzed. The results are derived on the basis of Gompertzian growth equation. In this model, we have considered the temperature dependent growth rate and development parameter. The non-equilibrium thermodynamic model is also considered for exploring the variat...

Effects of Ethanol on the Toxicokinetics of Methamphetamine in Rabbits

In the current study, the effects of ethanol (EtOH) on toxicokinetics of methamphetamine (MA) and its metabolite amphetamine (AP) were investigated. A single dose of MA hydrochloride at 15 mg/Kg was given intragastrically, either alone (MA group; n = 8) or in conjunction with 3 g/Kg EtOH (MA+EtOH group; n = 8) to rabbits. In placebo group, normal saline only was given (placebo group; n = 4). Pl...

Temperature-dependent model of human cardiac sodium channel

Cardiac sodium channels are integral membrane proteins whose structure is not known at atomic level yet and their molecular kinetics is still being studied through mathematical modeling. This study has focused on adapting an existing model of cardiac Na channel to analyze molecular kinetics of channels at 9-37°C. Irvine et al developed a Markov model for Na channel using Neuronal Network Model ...
